I had received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electrical and computer engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt, in 1997, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering and science from Aizu University, Fukushima, Japan, in 2002 and 2005, respectively.
From 2007 to 2009, I was a Visiting Researcher with the RIKEN Center for Brain Science,Wakoshi, Aizu University. From 2010 to 2021, I was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, University College, Umm Al-Qura University. I am currently an Associate Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Sohag University, Egypt.
My research interests include biological neural networks, deep learning, pattern recognition, speech processing and recognition, machine learning, and the Internet of Things.
