A Turkish academic (born March 20, 1979) holds a PhD in Sport Management (Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey, 2010, dissertation on German-Turkish sports club comparisons), an M.S. in Sport Management (Gazi University, 2003, thesis on Turkish sport federation autonomy), and a B.A. in Physical Education and Sport (Gazi University, 2001). They have completed scholarly visits to institutions including Georgia State University (USA, 2010) and the German Sport Academy (Cologne, 2007–2008) via Erasmus+ and research programs.
With over 20 years of experience in academia, administration, and sport management, they currently serve as a Professor Dr. at Fenerbahçe University (Istanbul, 2022–Present), holding roles including Head of the Sport Management Program, Head of the Exercise and Sport Sciences Department/Graduate Program, and Head of the Faculty’s Erasmus+ Program. They teach undergraduate/graduate courses (e.g., Sports Marketing, Comparative Sport Management, Postmodernism and Sport Studies) and advise graduate theses.
