A civil engineer with a PhD in Geotechnics & Materials of Construction (Bogazici University, Turkey, ABET-accredited, 1999), MS in Transportation Engineering (Middle East Technical University, Turkey, ABET-accredited, 1994), and BS in Civil Engineering (Middle East Technical University, 1991). They have over 20 years of experience across academia, business, and engineering associations.
Notable roles include founding/leading an ESL school (Link2globe LLC, VA, 2008–2019), serving as Adjunct Faculty at U.S. universities (teaching systems engineering, quantitative methods), and holding leadership positions at Eastern Mediterranean University (Cyprus): Vice Dean of Engineering (2001–2003), Vice Chairman of Civil Engineering (1999–2001), and Assistant Professor.
