A sculptor and ceramic artist with two MFA degrees, I have taught across university and K-12 settings for over two decades, serving as Associate Professor of Art and Art Education where I taught ceramics, sculpture, art history, jewelry, welding, and online art appreciation. My teaching emphasizes hands-on technical skill development in large-scale metal casting, mold-making, and ceramic processes. I have directed regional Scholastic Art Awards submissions and collaborated with students to build an iron furnace and host community pours. I hold AWS certifications in multiple welding processes and as a Certified Welding Inspector, bringing professional-level technical expertise into the classroom. My interdisciplinary approach integrates traditional sculpture with industrial techniques, preparing students to work confidently across materials and processes.
