This candidate is an accomplished structural geologist and tectonics professor. She currently holds the Structural Geology & Tectonics Chair as an Associate Professor at ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). Prior to this, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on lithospheric mechanics, rock rheology, and active tectonics, particularly fault slip rates. She has received prestigious awards including the NSF CAREER Award, the GSA Donath Medal, and the AGU Jason Morgan Early Career Award. She has secured significant research funding and leads a productive research group.
