This scholar is a Professor of Teacher Education and Director of a Ph.D. program. A recipient of the prestigious Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), her research focuses on assessment practices at both classroom and large-scale levels. Her work explores the tools and knowledge underlying assessment, with a current interest in applying this research to examine how elementary teacher candidates develop racial equity practices. She holds a Ph.D. from a renowned science and engineering institution.
