Peter Edwards is Vice-Principal (Pro Vice-Chancellor) Regional Engagement and Professor of Computing Science at the University of Aberdeen. His Vice-Principal role includes responsibility for place strategy, enterprise and innovation activity and digital strategy. He has over 35 years’ experience in intelligent information infrastructures research. His interests span models of provenance, trust, transparency and accountability and the realisation of these in the context of the web, the internet of things, and autonomous systems. His work has a strong application focus with solutions in areas as diverse as food safety, transport, smart cities, logistics and healthcare.
