Haghighi is an Australian educator with a Master's degree in Geoscience from Macquarie University. Since 2017, he has been teaching in China, currently as a Lecturer at South China Normal University in Guangzhou. He teaches advanced English, cultural studies, and academic skills to master's degree students, and also proofreads academic papers. His previous roles in China include teaching science at a middle school and English at various language institutes and a technical college. He is a fluent English speaker, holds a TESOL certificate and HSK 4, and is skilled at working with diverse student groups.
