Born on March 12, 1991, Dr. Adnan Kefal is a Turkish national with very good English and Turkish proficiency (no Chinese skills). He holds a PhD and a BSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and Istanbul Technical University (Turkey), respectively. With over 10 years of professional experience in academic research and teaching, he specializes in naval architecture, marine engineering, topology optimization, and structural health monitoring. Currently an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Technical University, he has served as a Visiting Research Scientist at Sabanci University and a Visiting Researcher at NASA’s Langley Research Center.
