He holds a Ph.D. in Security and Privacy from the University of Trento (Italy, 2010–2013) and an M.Sc. in Information Security Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands, 2007–2009). Prior to his current role, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Germany’s CISPA (Saarland University) and Italy’s CREATE-NET, and was a Stanford Research Institute (SRI) Fellow at SRI International’s Computer Science Lab (U.S., 2012). He also has industry experience as a Software Engineer at Irdeto Access and Palmchip. Dr. Asghar is an accredited PhD supervisor with ongoing supervision opportunities, contributing to advancing security and privacy research in academic and collaborative settings.
