Hendrickson is an American native English speaker and a distinguished professor at Carnegie Mellon University. With a strong educational background, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, a master’s in Philosophy of Economics from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from MIT. Since 1978, he has served as Hammerschlag University Professor and Director of the Traffic 21 Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Transportation Engineering (ASCE).
