I am a geography scholar and educator with a PhD in Geography from the University of Oklahoma, specializing in Geographic Information Science and urban remote sensing. My research focuses on natural hazards assessment, urban resilience, and human-environment interactions, with particular expertise in geospatial techniques for vulnerability analysis. Currently serving as a Research Fellow, I have previously held faculty positions including Associate Professor of GIS at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, where I developed and taught numerous courses in GIS, spatial analysis, and environmental planning. My research has been supported by substantial external funding, totaling approximately $3.1 million, addressing critical issues in urban development, disaster management, and sustainable planning in both domestic and international contexts.
