Dr. Aamer Ali Shah is working as Professor in the Department of Microbiology, at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Microbiology and postdoctoral fellowships in Japan, he has over 18 years of teaching and research experience. He has recently served as Visiting Scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He has taught various courses of Biology to BS, Masters and Ph.D students. During his teaching and research career, his main objective has to inspire and educate students in biology by fostering a deep understanding of scientific concepts, critical thinking, and a passion for lifelong learning in the life sciences. Dr. Shah has supervised 22 Ph.D and 100 M.Phil students to date. In recognition of his outstanding teaching & research contributions, Pakistan Academy of Sciences and Zoological Society of Pakistan awarded him “Gold Medals in Biological Sciences for the year 2018 and 2019”, respectively.
