Dr. Faith Muturia earned her masters and doctoral degrees in Education at Iowa State University in the United States of America. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at City University of New York-Lehman College, and at St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York. Throughout her academic career she has pursued research interests that focus on effective teaching methods, career decision influencers of special education teachers, and early literacy achievement gap in urban settings. Currently her primary scholarly interests include effective teaching methods, effective preparation and mentoring of teachers, assessment and evaluation, curriculum adaptations for inclusive classrooms, early childhood education, as well as current, research-based practice in autism and in learning disabilities.
