A power systems engineer with a Doctor of Engineering from Doshisha University, Japan, and postdoctoral experience at Tsinghua University and China Southern Power Grid. I have over 28 years of teaching and research experience in electric power systems, high voltage engineering, grounding systems, lightning protection, and smart grids. My research integrates sustainable energy, microgrids, and electromagnetic transients, resulting in more than 115 publications, two patents, and multiple funded projects. I have held leadership roles as Department Head and Vice Dean, and founded the smart grid laboratory at Assiut University as well as an MSc program in sustainable energy technology. My teaching spans undergraduate and graduate courses in power systems, electromagnetic fields, and high voltage engineering. I am committed to advancing energy efficiency, renewable integration, and grid modernization through interdisciplinary research and student mentorship.
