A ceramic artist and educator with an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, I have spent a decade teaching ceramics at the university level as an adjunct professor and graduate teaching assistant. My courses range from introductory ceramics to advanced trompe l’oeil techniques, emphasizing both technical skill development and conceptual exploration. My teaching is informed by extensive studio management experience, including the construction and outfitting of makerspaces with expertise in welding, carpentry, fiberglass fabrication, and digital tools such as Rhinoceros 3D and 3ds Max. I am committed to fostering hands-on learning environments where students engage deeply with materials and processes. My interdisciplinary approach bridges traditional craft with contemporary fabrication methods, preparing students to work flexibly across media and contexts.
