A jazz guitarist with a Master of Music degree in Jazz Guitar Performance, I have been teaching applied guitar and music appreciation at both university and community college levels for over a decade. As Adjunct Faculty at Middle Tennessee State University, I teach applied jazz guitar, direct the jazz guitar combo, and lead jazz guitar masterclasses. At Columbia State Community College, I deliver hybrid and traditional courses in music appreciation alongside applied guitar instruction. My teaching emphasizes technical development, improvisation, and ensemble collaboration, grounded in jazz tradition and pedagogy. I have also served as an online adjunct professor, providing remote applied guitar lessons. My academic and performance background supports a teaching approach that integrates musical practice with theoretical understanding, preparing students for both performance and deeper engagement with music as an art form.
