Serves as McGrath-Cavadini Director of the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame, where he is also a Professor of Theology. Former department chair. Extensive publications on Augustine, Benedict XVI, and catechesis. Holds papal honors and has served on the International Theological Commission.
