A Professor in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary with a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto (OISE). Specializes in anti-oppression education, queer studies, and Catholic schooling. Author of the award-winning book "Homophobia in the Hallways: Heterosexism and Transphobia in Canadian Catholic Schools" (University of Toronto Press). Recipient of the Governor General's Academic Gold Medal and numerous teaching awards. Has secured over $200,000 in SSHRC research funding. Serves as Academic Director for LGBTQ2S+ equity and inclusion at the University of Calgary.
