Dr. Aashir Waleed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore – Faisalabad Campus, Pakistan. He received his Doctor of Engineering in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). His research focuses on renewable energy systems, smart grids, energy harvesting, and advanced materials for optoelectronic and energy applications, particularly perovskite-based devices. Dr. Waleed has authored numerous international journal and conference publications and has supervised multiple undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, an Associate Fellow of Advance HE (UK), and an HEC-approved PhD supervisor. He also actively contributes to academia–industry collaboration, IEEE professional activities, and the development of innovative energy and AI-based engineering solutions.
