Previously Director of Research for the School of Natural and Computing Sciences (2021–2024) and Head of Computing Science (2018–2021). Research specialises in artificial intelligence, knowledge representation, and reasoning. Joined Aberdeen as Research Assistant in 2003, progressed through Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader, and Professor (2019). Former Research Associate at King’s College London (2007–2010). Holds MSc from University of the Witwatersrand.
