I am an environmental biologist and researcher with a Ph.D. in Philosophy (focused on environmental sciences) from the University of São Paulo, complemented by a Master's in Environmental Biotechnology from the same institution and postgraduate studies at Vigo University. My academic work is centered on aquatic ecology, with extensive research experience in radioecology, water and sediment quality analysis, and the ecological impacts of mining effluents. A significant achievement was developing a Standard Protocol recognized at the International Nuclear Atlantic Conference. My research combines laboratory analysis, fieldwork, and data interpretation to assess environmental risks and inform regulatory decisions. Currently, as a Researcher Fellow at the University of British Columbia, I investigate the relationships between water chemistry and aquatic invertebrate communities, bridging scientific inquiry with practical conservation and environmental management goals.
