Dr. Thamara Bulmer-van der Werf is an experienced lecturer and academic manager specializing in Early Childhood Studies and working with children, young people, and families. Currently an Interim Programme Director and Lecturer at the University of Hull, she holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD) from the University of Sheffield. With over a decade of experience at Hull, she has served in key leadership roles such as Programme Director for Early Childhood Studies and BA Education Studies. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and provides consultancy and external examining services for several UK universities, including the University of Bath and Oxford Brookes. Her research and professional expertise focus on parental engagement, early years policy, practice, and international perspectives.
