Marco I. Bonelli is an international scholar with extensive teaching and research experience in China and across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Prior to his academic career, he spent many years on Wall Street in senior roles at leading U.S. investment banks, building a successful career in equity research, portfolio management, and institutional finance. This industry background strongly informs his applied teaching and research approach. He has previously taught and conducted academic work at several Chinese universities and joint programs, where he developed a strong commitment to mentoring Chinese students. Over the years, he has guided numerous Chinese students in gaining admission to top U.S. and European institutions; one of his former students is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on FinTech, artificial intelligence in finance, and equity valuation, with particular emphasis on China’s fintech ecosystem.
