Ahmad is a Pakistani chemist specializing in asymmetric catalysis, drug synthesis, and functional materials. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2019, followed by postdoctoral research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2019-2025). His core research involves the asymmetric synthesis of anti-tuberculosis drugs like Bedaquiline and its analogs, development of novel chiral ligands and catalytic systems, and participation in major projects funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He has authored multiple high-impact publications and holds several patents. He is proficient in experimental design, organic synthesis techniques, and spectroscopic analysis, with additional teaching experience in Pakistan.
