I am a scholar, educator, and practicing artist with a Ph.D. in Art History and Art Education from New York University. My academic career spans over three decades, culminating in the honor of Professor Emerita. My research and teaching focus on modern and contemporary art, architectural history, gender studies, and sensory (especially olfactory) art. I have authored and edited numerous books and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, exploring themes from interwar Serbian architecture to public art and utopian studies. As an active artist, my work in olfactory and multi-sensory installation has been exhibited internationally. I am deeply committed to interdisciplinary education, having developed new academic programs and fostered community-engaged learning, bridging rigorous scholarship with innovative artistic practice.
