Taylor is the ANSYS Career Development Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, with courtesy appointments in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her research focuses on design and advanced manufacturing across scales, using structural DNA nanotechnology for biosensors, actuators, and bio-inspired systems. She explores molecular mechanobiology, micro/nano fabrication, and biomanufacturing. Her work has applications in drug delivery, cardiovascular medicine, and workforce training. She received an NSF CAREER Award and teaches mechanical design and manufacturing. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
