A PhD candidate in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, UIUC, expected August 2024) with a graduate minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. They hold an M.S. in Kinesiology (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, 2018) and a B.S. in Psychology & Sociology (UIUC, 2015), and are fluent in Spanish. Since August 2019, they’ve served as an Instructor at UIUC, teaching an online course for 600 students—supervising Teaching Assistants, developing Canvas-based course content, submitting student-athlete progress reports to the Athletic Director, and administering exams. Previously, they were a Graduate Assistant & Coordinator at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (2016–2017), leading Spanish Conversation Hour, tutoring undergraduates, and supporting the Foreign Language Department’s administrative work (e.g., student evaluations, website updates).
