An EdD in Sports Management with expertise in higher education leadership, exercise science curriculum development, and sports performance has built a career spanning academic administration, teaching, and athletic training. Currently President of Lionel University (Carpinteria, CA, 2019–present), he led the successful rebranding of the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) College of Exercise Science, growing annual revenue and enrollments by over 50% (2019–2021) and securing accreditation for two new degree programs. He also oversaw the $40 million sale of the school’s Professional Division and launched its first graduate degree program and Equity Committee.
Previously Chief Academic Officer at ISSA (2017–2018), he developed the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program, improved student retention by 20%, and edited 5 textbooks on strength conditioning and corrective exercise. As an adjunct faculty member (US Sports Academy, ISSA), he taught 6–8 undergraduate courses per quarter in exercise science, kinesiology, and sports nutrition, and developed 10+ certificate programs (e.g., Corrective Exercise Specialist, Bodybuilding Specialist). With military experience as a U.S. Army Exercise Science Instructor (2013–2014), he trained soldiers on physiology and fitness doctrine, earning a Command Sergeant Major Coin for excellence. He has also worked as a sports nutrition/strength coach for elite athletes and published 7 articles on fitness training and recovery.
