Currently based in Chengdu, China, he previously served as an Assistant Professor (promoted 2019) and Lecturer (2015–2019) at Wolkite University (Ethiopia), teaching core economics courses like Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Monetary Economics. He also held administrative roles there, including Dean of the Business and Economics College for two years, overseeing academic management.
His research focuses on financial sector development, Fintech, and environmental impacts on inequality, with over 10 published papers in journals such as Econ Change Restruct, African Development Review, and Environ Sci Pollut Res.
