A dual Bangladeshi-Canadian citizen with a PhD in Business Administration and post-doctoral experience specializes in sustainability, industrial pollution prevention, and social entrepreneurship. Currently an Assistant Professor (since August 2018) at a university in Iraq, they teach courses like Sustainable Business, International Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management, focusing on integrating sustainability into business practices.
Their research expertise spans campus sustainability, carbon finance, and microcredit’s role in poverty alleviation, with published work in journals such as Sustainability and Journal of Cleaner Production. They held a post-doctoral fellowship (2010–2012) and research associate position (2012–2015) at Canada’s University of Waterloo, leading projects on community sustainability and embedding sustainability in bank credit risk management.
